Week 31
Prima Doll Stamp

Ohh, I love all those new Prima Doll Stamps! Check out my bookmark that's posted over at the Challenge by Cuttin and Stampin!

It's back to school time for many and today I made a Bookmark for my granddaughter who is truly a book worm! I think she'll love this cute Prima Doll stamp and with some school themed stickers to remind her to Learn, Read, and Achieve, and will continue to be the great student she is! I used Copics to color the girl and clothing. Added some bling to the dress front and the headband. Everyone loves their new clothes the first days of the school year! Maybe we should never outgrow that and shop for ourselves but these days I'm more into crafts supplies and the hottest stamps on the market such as these! Check out my blog for more info! http://janetscreativeworld.blogspot.com/
I used a base tag from the same line which fits these dolls perfectly and they are all ready to add your embellishments or more color to. I left this bookmark flat so it wouldn't be an obstacle in a book. But with a tag this size, she'll never lose her place! I drew in my face because I just didn't have any face stamps that seemed to fit the younger girl look I wanted. I think she's cute and looks a little shy heading off to school to meet new friends and to see her old ones! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll get your dolls out and make something for our challenge this week! I love looking at all those entries every week! :)

#30
Challenge:   Clean & Simple Cards
July 30 - August 5, 2013

Have you ever wanted a black or dark colored card and then wondered how to put a message inside? Well on this card, I used the Ivory as a base, then added a black mat piece to the back to give the illusion it's a black card but inside, a clean slate ready for a message. I layered the print paper onto black mats, and stamped the sentiment and layered it. All paper and stamps are from Stampin Up! Clean and simple.  Hope to see your clean and simple projects too!

This file is Growing up Someday! Haven't we all looked in the mirror at some point and imagined ourselves older, wiser, prettier? This paper is from a stack I picked up at the Big Lots. The background is actually cats, but together they look like a wallpaper print. My granddaughter loves cats, and I think I'll put some notes in the pocket of how when she came to visit me, we'd play "spa". I closed my bathroom door, and she'd knock and ask if I was "open". We'd comb or brush her hair on the chair in front of the mirror at the vanity and paint her finger nails and toenails. She'd tell me about school, or home, or her cats. It was if I wasn't her grandmother but actually her beautician. Sometimes she'd spill her guts to me and I could give her some sound grandmotherly advice! Now she's 12 and doesn't need me to comb or brush her hair, but she does ask me too often. Maybe she misses those days we'd have those little conversations. Maybe  my "spa" will be open the next time she comes to visit.

Bed Time is the name of this Creative Kuts file. I loved to read to my girls when they were small, and every chance I got with my granddaughter I loved to read and now she loves to read! Both my girls and granddaughter did well in school and their teachers attributed that to our reading at home. I'd have my house filled with book if I could! And maybe more scrapbooking or stamping supplies! All paper is CTMH.

I love this I Love You This Much file! When my girls were little, I'd tell them that, and hold my arms out as far as I could. They'd think it was fun to say "it would fill up the driveway" and we had quite a long drive! Now when I tell my Granddaughter how much I love her, she says, "it would fill up the whole world".  Don't you just love the bears? They are so cute and all paper is CTMH.
