Welcome to the Krazy Crafting Crew's October blog hop: To "Die" For. Many crafters today have die cutting machines and we thought it would be fun to let them show off some of the work they do with their machines and tell us which machine they own. I can guarantee you will have a fun time looking at all their creations and if you're in the mood for a new die cutting machine, their work might sway you on which one to buy.

Our hostess for this hop is Jearise from Lorby's World and her blog is the place to start. She will have a give away going on so make sure you check out how to get signed up for that while you're visiting her.

Now let the fun begin... I have two fall layouts today! All ready for our trip to the Pumpkin Patch or fall festivals around our area the next few weeks! I love the food, the colors of the leaves, and think these are perfect. They are cutting files from Creative Kuts.com. Their files come in various formats so you can even print them out in color if you want and fussy cut them. I used paper I had on hand. They are ready for my photos and my journaling!

I used my Sihouette Cameo for this hop. I have 4 Cricuts, but the Cameo just does such detail work, and I love how you can use your own fonts, or clip art or even design your own projects. It's an easy machine to learn to use, and without the cartridges... much cheaper. Many sites have free svg type files, but I love Creative Kuts and how detailed theirs are. Hands have fingers, not rounded looking paws. www.creativekuts.com is where you can shop! On their facebook page, there is always fun, and the Crop on Line project where we all crop together. You buy the file, you get section 1, cut it, post it, then get file 2, cut it and post it, then file 3 and then post your finished project. I love how one file can look so different with the various papers, trims, and creativity everyone adds.

Thank you for stopping by and now on to Lori - http://www.scrappinmystressaway.blogspot.com/

So you can start the hop at Cuttin' and Stampin' and work you way through our 13 wonderful Design Team members.  Each of us has used the Bazzill Basic Paper collection called Lucy's Crab Shack.

You should have hoped here from Tammy S. blog

Hello! So glad to have you visit today! For this hop, I've made two cards! The first one is the cutest paper from Lucy's Crab Shack that has bicycles on it! (all the paper is double sided) I just knew I had a bicycle stamp I wanted to use... and I love to ride my bike with my granddaughter while she's visiting over the summer months! Take a look!
This stamp is from a Stampin' Up set. And she wobbles so she looks like the breeze is blowing!  I layered the paper on the card base, inked the edges. Added a ribbon and a bow with the sentiment and just lightly colored her in as the stamp is very fine... And the sentiment reminded me of summer travels, which my granddaughter thinks she should go along where ever Grandma R. is going!
Then I made a 2nd card with flowers! We plant flowers every Spring and hope for the best.. we planted a garden too this year that did amazing! Anyway back to the card- take another look!

Isn't that flowery paper so cute? I love it! I added a band from a solid with polka dotted texture and then put my flowers on. The centers are some bling. I cut the banner from a punch and stamped "hey there friend". (Stampin Up) Now I have a cute little card all ready for a friend on just about any occasion! I love the flowers and all the green in summer time. Thank you for stopping by today! I'm offering some blog candy as well!  Since you're so sweet to leave a comment, and a way to contact you- I will pick one lucky person to win Close To My Heart's Sweet Stamp set! I know, you're asking if she sells Close To My Heart why is she using Stampin' Up? I love all products in the paper craft world! Now continue your summer voyage to Robin and all the stops! Thanks!

After me, you need to hop on over to Robin's

Week 31
Prima Doll Stamp

Ohh, I love all those new Prima Doll Stamps! Check out my bookmark that's posted over at the Challenge by Cuttin and Stampin!

It's back to school time for many and today I made a Bookmark for my granddaughter who is truly a book worm! I think she'll love this cute Prima Doll stamp and with some school themed stickers to remind her to Learn, Read, and Achieve, and will continue to be the great student she is! I used Copics to color the girl and clothing. Added some bling to the dress front and the headband. Everyone loves their new clothes the first days of the school year! Maybe we should never outgrow that and shop for ourselves but these days I'm more into crafts supplies and the hottest stamps on the market such as these! Check out my blog for more info! http://janetscreativeworld.blogspot.com/
I used a base tag from the same line which fits these dolls perfectly and they are all ready to add your embellishments or more color to. I left this bookmark flat so it wouldn't be an obstacle in a book. But with a tag this size, she'll never lose her place! I drew in my face because I just didn't have any face stamps that seemed to fit the younger girl look I wanted. I think she's cute and looks a little shy heading off to school to meet new friends and to see her old ones! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll get your dolls out and make something for our challenge this week! I love looking at all those entries every week! :)

#30
Challenge:   Clean & Simple Cards
July 30 - August 5, 2013

Have you ever wanted a black or dark colored card and then wondered how to put a message inside? Well on this card, I used the Ivory as a base, then added a black mat piece to the back to give the illusion it's a black card but inside, a clean slate ready for a message. I layered the print paper onto black mats, and stamped the sentiment and layered it. All paper and stamps are from Stampin Up! Clean and simple.  Hope to see your clean and simple projects too!

Please make sure your creation post has a link back to Cuttin' and Stampin'

This file is Growing up Someday! Haven't we all looked in the mirror at some point and imagined ourselves older, wiser, prettier? This paper is from a stack I picked up at the Big Lots. The background is actually cats, but together they look like a wallpaper print. My granddaughter loves cats, and I think I'll put some notes in the pocket of how when she came to visit me, we'd play "spa". I closed my bathroom door, and she'd knock and ask if I was "open". We'd comb or brush her hair on the chair in front of the mirror at the vanity and paint her finger nails and toenails. She'd tell me about school, or home, or her cats. It was if I wasn't her grandmother but actually her beautician. Sometimes she'd spill her guts to me and I could give her some sound grandmotherly advice! Now she's 12 and doesn't need me to comb or brush her hair, but she does ask me too often. Maybe she misses those days we'd have those little conversations. Maybe  my "spa" will be open the next time she comes to visit.

Bed Time is the name of this Creative Kuts file. I loved to read to my girls when they were small, and every chance I got with my granddaughter I loved to read and now she loves to read! Both my girls and granddaughter did well in school and their teachers attributed that to our reading at home. I'd have my house filled with book if I could! And maybe more scrapbooking or stamping supplies! All paper is CTMH.

I love this I Love You This Much file! When my girls were little, I'd tell them that, and hold my arms out as far as I could. They'd think it was fun to say "it would fill up the driveway" and we had quite a long drive! Now when I tell my Granddaughter how much I love her, she says, "it would fill up the whole world".  Don't you just love the bears? They are so cute and all paper is CTMH.

This file just "quacks" me up! looks like one little duck has gotten into trouble and fallen off the page. I love the mats and the detail in those! And the doilies at the top and side are super! they would be perfect on other layouts and I love how you can take Creative Kuts files and mix and match to make them work for your needs! This layout will be perfect for those photos of my family "quacking up".

7 Days-7 files! I'm finally getting caught up after being sick in April.. and dealing with a rotator cuff and pinched nerve issue... Sometimes I find working on paper piecing and coloring/inking is relaxing. Always more fun than housework! here's the Simple Moments file. I have some photos of my youngest daughter who always fished while at a Girl Scout camp. They will look good along with some photos of other family members fishing. A favorite pastime of some of my family members. This little girl and boy are so cute!
