Fall Fest Blog Hop

Day 2!

Isn't October wonderful! Crisp apples picked fresh from the tree, warm apple cider to warm your tummy on a frosty night, leaves of gold, red, brown fluttering to the ground. October is a wonderful time of year and this hop is a celebration of October and all the colors, smells, sights and sounds it has to offer. Hop along with our Krazy Crafting Crew as they show you their take on October and what it is for them.
If you happen to stumble upon this hop you can begin hopping at our host blog for this month: Jearise of Lorby's World (http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com/

Day 2 Projects!
I cut the I Heart Fall from a file over at the Silhouette store with my Cameo! I cut the circle leaf as well from one of their files. I'm sure it's suppose to be a frame, but I think I'd have to "stage" a photo for it, so I really liked laying the I Heart Fall over it. I added two mats with some twine added and a border at the bottom of the page. Now when I take some photos at the Covered Bridge Festival, this page will be all ready to go!
Next I picked up this 12 x12 sheet of owl stickers on a clearance rack. I thought it was soo cute, but once I started to do my layout.. not so much! I know I'll have some of the little ones in our family come by ( I hope they do) so when they do, I'll snap their photos in their costumes and again, just need to put the photos on the page! Here's the layout!

See, what I mean? The tree was so huge, and there's so many leaves and owls... I wish I had just used them to make a little mini book.. but too late now! I think once I get some photos on the mats and I left a small rectangle one to journal whoo's in my photos! We'll see whoo's the scariest one of all!! (glad my photo won't be on this.. then it wouldn't even be a contest... LOL)Thanks for stopping by again today! Leave a comment and be a follower. I'll pick my blog candy winner on Monday!

Day 1 Just in case you missed it yesterday!
I love Fall and in my area we have a huge festival that celebrates the turning of the leaves and in Parke County- that ties into an area that has a huge number of Covered Bridges. Driving through the area, seeing the bridges and the colors of the trees is awesome and the routes are dotted with vendors selling crafts, food, and just plain fun! Sometimes the weather is warm and sunny, other times it's snowing! But no mater what we find plenty to do and it's so nice to just be out before the weather turns to winter! Here's my project for today:

I used my Fuse die cutter/letterpress to cut out this super embossed leaf! I added some inking, and put it onto a Wobble so it wiggles just like it's falling. I added a fall stamp sentiment (CTMH and it's in the give away set-newset), and layered all on a piece of striped paper. (a scrap-too big to throw out, too small for much else, a Three Bear kind of thing.. LOL) Added some gold bling in each corner and made my card base from half of an 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. I have some upcoming fall birthdays in our family so I think I'll personalize the inside with a note, and  then I'm all ready for them! This was quick and easy, but in our busy lives, isn't that the best kind of crafting? You accomplish something... and then on to other projects. Be sure to stop back in tomorrow for day 2! I have some scrapbook layouts I made, so when I go to the festival, I am all ready for that too! See you tomorrow!

  4. I love that leaf, Janet. How do you like your Fuse system? Does it emboss/cut with other types of dies as well? I've about had it with my Sizzix Big Shot -- keeps breaking -- and then I have to go to my back-up (Cuttlebug) which doesn't handle the larger dies. Grrr. I like too that you put the leaf on an Action Wobble. Yes, the leaves are falling here too. I'm glad that I live in one of those "planned communities" where somebody else does the raking for me!! :) I sure don't miss the piles of leaves at my old home!!
