NOW FOR MY PROJECT!
I made a 2 page layout using the Trouble Brewing File over at Creative Kuts. Here's the link for that and you'll want to check out all the great Halloween designs for your Trick and Treaters this year. http://www.creativekuts.com/TROUBLE-BREWING-TB81.htm

I used an orange background, and added a 4 inch border from a piece of paper in a packet at JoAnn's for .97! What a deal! It was a Halloween package and I just love how it looks like there are several layers. I added a ribbon layer to pick up the colors in the girl's costumes. The file from Creative Kuts includes the title, the Witch and her cauldon, the black cat, the moon and the bats. On the cauldron, I used a clear glue and green glitter to make those bubbles pop! I'm not sure what's she's stirring up there.. eye of newt, etc. I layered the photo mats, black, then orange to make the photos pop! These two girls are my great nieces and they're adorable, with or withou costumes! I hope you like my project! Happy Halloween to you and yours. Now I've posted the entire lineup in case you've lost your place. Head over toTammy - http://anonymouscricuter.blogspot.com/  from here!

TGIF! Are  you as happy as I am that it's Friday? It could just be me, as today's my turn to post for Creative Kuts.I did a layout today with a file from the store. Have you been to the store lately? They have so many new files and if you don't see what you want, just ask Cheryl!
I used the Keep Me Safe Girl http://www.creativekuts.com/Keep-Me-Safe-Girl-KMSG5.htm
We've been celebrating Grandparents this month and when I decided to do this file, I was going to have my granddaughter and I each write a poem for the other one. But since we're going to have another new little one, that'll make 2 in just4 months, bringing our grandchildren total to 4! The 2 boys are truly miracles as their father suffered with Testicular Cancer some years ago and two rounds of Chemo, and two surgeries to have lymph nodes removed. The oldest granddaughter's mother was born 3 months premature, and weighted 2 1/2 pounds at birth but loss some of that weight as newborns do. She was not expected to make it but God intervened and along with a terrific group of doctors, and nurses, she's turning 38 this year! So many blessings to be thankful for! Here's the layout!

I cut My Blessings out of my Silhouette Cameo. I layered a side border, added a 4 inch side border from a paper stack (JoAnn's) placed my little girl who is in prayer and added two photo mats. Perhaps, I'll put the two boys in one photo, and the two girls (one is on the way) in the other. So using purple, the color of royalty, is great! Not the typical pink or blue. Let me leave you with two of my favorite sayings:
A day hemmed in prayer seldom unravels.
If you count your blessings, your troubles soon disappear!
Have a blessed day and weekend! Thanks for stopping by and head to the blog to see other great files and projects from the design team. http://creativekuts.blogspot.com/
Check out the store www.creativekuts.com/ and don't forget to follow Creative Kuts on Facebook! Always fun over there!

Hi! It's Theme Day Thursday and today we're planning Halloween parties! I knew everyone would go right to the Halloween themed cartridges, so I used Phrases to make my invitation.
Here's my invitation!
I made my card base (dark purple) and layered this stiped Halloween paper from JoAnn's onto it. I cut the phrase out at 4 inches. I love how it's layered 3 times! I added some Halloween twine from Studio 2G, I picked up at my local Wal-Mart, and some green bling. You know that anytime your invitation has bling and is tied up with a bow, it's gonna be a party! I layered a white card inside to jot down the time, place, and date of my party! Isn't it great how easy your party can really be personalized with your Cricut and even if you don't own a Halloween theme cartridge, check out your other ones! Just like this phrase, it'll work for anything and the colors will set the tone of the party! Thanks for stopping by today!

Just had to share this bag! My granddaughter made it from duct tape! I am working with middle school girls once a week, they are at risk and hopefully a self esteem program/some bullying presented in a fun and relaxed way will help them. My granddaughter is a new 6th grader, so I asked her what girls that age might want to make. I've found that when their hands are busy, they chat more openly, thinking no one is looking at them.. anyway, she said the girls at her school loved duct tape! They make bracelets, wallets, etc. So I went to our local Wal-Mart and got several different patterns. When she was here last weekend, she whipped up this bag! She braided the handle, and the bottom (where the whtie stip goes across) is a pocket. Her mom is going to hang it in her apartment and tuck coupons or mail in it. My granddaughter was so pleased with how it turned out and she made a flower too! Who knew Duct tape could be so much fun!! Wonder what she'll make next...

My giveaway today is the Cricut Lite Cartridge- Cupcake!

How do you win? Well, everyone has worked so hard on their projects for today, please leave a comment, a little love over at their blogs. If you're not a follower, please follow me! Why? Because I love to craft, and I used to share my creations with my Mom, who was always my biggest fan, but since her passing in 1995, I miss her and her comments. So when you leave me a comment, at least I know I haven't crafted in vain... Perhaps I'll have something that will inspire you to try! I use Random.Org to pick a winner on Monday morning! That should give everyone a chance to hop through the blogs and leave their comments.
Other blogs along the way may have some blog candy offering as well.
The complete line-up will be following my project, so check it out and at least with these cupcakes, you won't be gaining any weight.....
I chose a chipboard purse/book that I purchased over at http://honeybearzdesigns2011.blogspot.com/2012/08/good-morning-and-welcome-to-our-august.html

I saw this on her blog, and she opened a store and I just had to purchase it! I knew I wanted to use it for my project for today. Let me post a photo of it.
I used a pack of CTMH pink patterned paper. It's from years ago... (I'm a hoarder) but thought it'd be perfect for this. I used Washi tape (2) along the bottom of the front.

Now I haven't completely embellished the front or the inside tags. Why? Well, I thought I was going to do one thing, but while I was working on it... discovered we're going to have a new granddaughter this November. We just had a new grandson, so with the first granddaughter and grandson, now we'll have 4! (I don't count the other child's dogs, but she insists they're my granddogs..) anyway, so I thought maybe I'd do this a different way.. Now I'm just undecided.... may just go with the oldest one from birth to 11, and as she's turning 12 in February, could do this for her birthday. Yes, that might be doable.. now to February to decide and finish it... LOL  Who else has projects that aren't done, maybe never will be done.. I know I'm not the only one!
Here's the inside of the book so far.

I love how there are the inside covers, and with 6 tags, inside and out, that's 24 places to stash photos, quotes, or other embellishments. I have a plastic tray that I"m putting all my pink things in, or things I might want to use on this in so they are all together. That's another problem I have, where did I put that??? These trays from the dollar stores are great to group together upcoming projects and all in one place when I'm ready to work.
Perhaps just too much to choose from....

Now for my recipe- I was scoping out the web.. and found a recipe called Crunch-A-Bunch Cupcakes. It's from the Kellogg's people. Who doesn't love Rice Krispies? They took the rice krispy recipe and had the kids make them into a ball (like popcorn balls) and put in a cupcake liner. That gives the kids a top to ice and decorate, just like cupcakes. How easy is that? You know they're gonna love buttering their hands, and making that into a ball and then decorating that! It'll be a great way to keep them busy during the upcoming holiday season and they could help make a treat for everyone!

Don't they look luscious? When we make rice krispy treats, we just cut the pan into however many are here at that time.. One big treat and we're all happy! LOL For the recipe or more ideas, check out the link below.

I'm joining in for Breast Cancer Awareness and encouraging you to check those ta-tas! As a survivor (Ovarian), I know it's important to take care of yourself and do your checks!!!!

I have so many friends and family who have survived Cancer, and those dealing with the big C right now!  I used the Pink Journey Cartridge and a stamped sentiment from a Pink By Design stamp set (Over the Moon). I used a paper background with pink flowers from a stack (JoAnn's) and a couple of polka dotted pink brads. It's simple, but I think it will let someone know that I'm right by their side and if they need me, they only need to call. If you know someone dealing with Cancer, or any other issue, say a prayer, take them a hot meal, send a note, or just call! It'll mean the world to them to know someone cares!

Crazy for Caffeine!! I took part in a swap over at Splitcoaststampers that focused on caffeine. I may not be a coffee drinker, but if I don't have my mega coke in the mornings, I have withdrawal!! Anyway, here's the two cards I did for the swap. Let me tell you about them.
On the left- I used a 6 x 6 pad that was Cowboy related, but the other side of one had what I thought was perfect for the background. I stamped a coffee cup and saying from a TPC studio set. Added some eyelets and ribbon to finish it off.
On the right- I used a Silhouette file to cut my wanna be star bucks cup out.. added another sentiment from the same set and layered it all on a background of coffee cups. Well, thanks for stopping by this morning, and if you haven't made your coffee run, or caffeine run, now's the time to go. I've probably made you thirsty... Have a terrific Monday!

Hello my fellow scrapbook friends!  I could probably put 40 on.. LOL as photos of the favorite people in my life seem to mount up! Check out these two pages and I'll tell you all about them! Miles of Smiles!

I used some background paper from a Colorbox stack-Spring Morning. It has all kind of positive words, such as bloom, grow, smile, laugh, imagine, etc. and as a former staff member working with girls, these were just the things we were telling them. I took these photos at our annual family Easter gathering in 2011. I know I'm a little behind.. anyway...better late than never!
I cut Smile out of Create A Critter at 3.50 inches. I cut a second one so I could cut off the S and add to Smile to get Smiles. I wanted the word miles but couldn't find one on any of the carts ( I love Cricut Craft Room to do a search) so I cut out Smile again at 2.50 twice and I cut S off of one, and added one to the back. What do you know? I have my title! Miles of Smiles. I cut OF from Cricut Keystone. Added a few rosettes, and punched out two hearts to dot the I's. Added some tags for names and I think these pages will just bring a smile to my face or anyone who looks at them. In the top photo from the left over- My granddaughter and great-niece (my nephew's daughter), myself and my granddaughter. On the 2nd page from the left- My niece and her little one, and her older one.

Hello! Today is my turn and wait till you see what I've been working on! We've been celebrating Grandparents this month.. and of course I have taken advantage of that and used my granddaughter in several posts this month! Today I used the file http://www.creativekuts.com/All-Girl-AG314.htm to make this two page layout! Cheryl has been busy over at the store.. you should see all the new files! And if you've not been following the Facebook posts, you're missing out on some great fun! Here's the layout:

A few  years ago, Emily was spending the night here on a regular basis. And she loved to play spa! She wanted me to pretend I was the Beauty Operator (which I was licensed) and shut the door to my bathroom. We had remodeled it and I put in a vanity and a great area to pamper myself.. anyway, she'd knock on the door and ask if I was open. I'd say come on in! As she got her bath, and hair washed, dried, she'd soon forget I was grandma and just talk away! She was going through some serious family issues as her parents were divorcing and she'd tell me just what had been going on. Much to my dismay! We'd chat and hopefully those conversations helped her or at least knew she was safe with me and I'd watch out for her. She still loves to play in my vanity and with all the makeup, etc. She even made a sign for the door and a price list of the services! She had no idea how much or big those numbers were! I told her hugs and kisses would be just fine for payment for me! Anyway, this file reminded me of those fond memories and if I don't have any photos, I'll take some the next time she wants her hair styled or nails done. She's old enough now she doesn't need help with baths.. but she is asking about shaving her legs... perhaps another service to add to the list.  Head over to the store www.creativekuts.com/ to see what's new. If you're not taking part in the Monday fun with the BAP's (Build A Project) you are missing some great files! Here's my slider card for this week's!

I hope you're smiling today! Have a terrific weekend! Check out the blog for other great ideas and projects. http://creativekuts.blogspot.com/

Happy Monday Labor Day! I hope you're enjoying the long weekend and extra day off! Today is Imagination Monday or the Letter J over at Erica's My Cricut Craft Room. With my name starting with a J, how could I not do this day's theme? So I made a card, kinda woodsy, manly.. but take a look!
I used the Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge. I cut the Pinecone and branch out, layered it, added some inking and put it on some plaid paper. The plaid was red and green, so I used red for my background. Added a big red bow to the branch, a stamped sentiment, A very Merry Christmas, and  another card added to my stack for the upcoming holidays! I think this will be just perfect for males on my list.. Now that into the BER Months, Christmas won't be long now!
Check out the other design team members projects for today, and well, everyday for plenty of inspiration! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! See you soon!

Now for my projects! I hope you're having a great Labor Day holiday. A last long weekend before summer officially ends... I used Baby Boutique, Hey Diddle Diddle, and B is For Boy for my projects today. Let me show you the first two, and we'll chat then I'll show you what else I've worked on.
B is for Boy

Yes, you can do girl things with this cartridge!

I purchased the same paper in pink and blue. I cut the onesie and Wee One out. Trimmed out each onesie in the appropriate color, added cute little duckies.. and I "stitched" around the lettering. I added pink, and blue rosettes.  And the ribbon matches, one in pink, one in blue. I found these cute wooden carriages and I painted them and added those as well. Now all I have to do is add the names of our newest members of our family when they get here. A boy in North Carolina and a girl in Ohio. We thought the boy might get here this weekend, but it's not over yet, so we'll see. He's officially due in mid Sept. and the little girl is due in November! Babies are such a nice way to start people!
Now for additional projects:

I used Hey Diddle Diddle to make this layout. Can you tell I'm expecting a 5 x 7 photo of the new little boy?? I have a 5 x7 of the older brother, and I may put it here, but either one.. I purchased this paper at JoAnn's and I added a little teddy bear (with a blue stone) and a bottle tied in blue ribbon. I left room to add Tyler's or Jake's important information. Weight, height, date, etc...

I used Teresa Collins Baby Boutique to print out the background paper. B is for Boy to print out Welcome Little One, and it's in pink, so all ready to send to the new parents when Callie Rose gets here. I added a rosette, and pink ribbon, layered it all on a pink base. I'm kinda proud of myself for being ahead.. now to just catch up on the adults and the first grandchild (11 now)...
This card was quite the happy accident. I actually intended to make a vinyl decal for my oldest daughter's new (to her-used) car using this cartridge. Except I made a boo boo.. I was going to use the Winged Heart with the Crown, she can be a bit of a drama queen at time.. anyway, I guess I wasn't paying any attention and put the vinyl on upside down... soooo now I have a wonderful embellishment for one of her album's pages. Perhaps I'll try that again when I'm thinking clearer... I was going to surprise her but I think I'll show it to her and see what she thinks. She may want something different......
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and please have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!

The litte boy got here today! Jacob (Jake) Jonathon! 6 lbs 14 oz.
