Good Morning! Today is my turn to post over at Creative Kuts! I hope you'll go over to their store and check out all the new files over there! Be sure to follow them over at Facebook! Fun, BAP's, you're sure to find some great ideas!
I used the High School Girl file to make my layout today. (http://creativekuts.com/High-School-Girl-HSG730.htm ) I'm featuring my granddaughter who is my favorite subject to scrapbook.. anyway, she's entering 6th grade this year. Check out the layout, then I'll tell you the story and you'll find out who won in the showdown of the combination lock!

Isn't this file the cutest ever? I think so! You'll find it over at Creative Kuts.com. Here's the link to get you right there!!   http://creativekuts.com/High-School-Girl-HSG730.htm
Now the story of the lock!! This was her first time using a comination lock. She tried at least 2 dozen times, but didn't get that if you passed the number by even one mark, you couldn't go back and then go to the next number. She was so frustrated. Her Dad tried, Her Mother tried, and I tried, but nope, the lock won!! The child next to her was struggling too! Their adult got their lock opened, and then helped Emily. She beat the lock.. so now we're all on a mission to master the lock! Emily tired again, nope, the lock won. I tried, and I beat the Lock!! Yeah!! Emily gave her ole granny quite the look, as if to say, " well if my granny can do it, surely I can..." so she tried it again. This time sweet success!!! She did it a few more times, and by the 2nd day of school, had mastered the lock! Now to master the Clarinet, but that's another story.. she had hers for less than one day and broke the bell piece...anyway... never a dull moment. Maybe Cheryl will do a file for the Clarinet and I can document that story for her to have to live down..
Now if you want to join in on the BAP's, go to Creative Kuts on Facebook. You request the file on Monday or Tuesday, (and it's free!) then make the project and post it by the deadline. They are always so cute and creative and it's fun to see how one project comes out so differently when everyone puts their spin on it! This week's was a wrapped box, with a surprise inside. Take a look at mine, but check out Facebook to see other great results!

The little box slides out to reveal a cute card. I can't wait till next week to see what the BAP will be... hope to see you over there!

Happy Tuesday! Today it's all about cards! If you're looking for inspiration or just trying to keep busy if that nasty Storm Issac is in your area, then you've come to the right place! I got a head start on Christmas for my card today! Take a look, then let's chat!

I used CTMH's Artiste Cricut Cartridge to cut the HoHoHo out. I love how it looks like I cut each Ho out with a different font, but nope, they're all connected. I added some inking to the edges, tied a little red bow to adorn the center Ho. I used a Cuttlebug Christmas embossing folder for the background and added that to my card with for little gold brads. I made the base from an 81/2 x 11 piece of red cardstock cut in half. When I used a colored base, I always add a piece of white to the inside for my message. We all have those add pieces around, and I think that's a nice touch. So with a card this quick and easy, no good reason why you can't have a supply for your holiday card list in no time! I hope you have a wonderful holiday, but if you're currently in the patch of Issac, stay safe!

WoW! Awesome give aways! Now for my project! I used Leaf It To Me  http://creativekuts.com/Leaf-It-To-Me-LITM820.htm for my project. I live just south of the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival and it brings millions from all over the world to see not only the many bridges still standing and some in use, but the awesome changing colors of the leaves in this county's rural settings. I did a two-page layout, cutting pieces with my Cameo, and some I colored with my Copics, and/or chalked them after cutting them with colored cardstock. Take A Look!

I think that look on his face says it all! "C'mon, leaves, fall, I dare you!" Now once I make my yearly trip to the festival, if I can stop eating all the great food that's available, I might actually take some photos and put on my mats! If you're looking for a great travel desination, check out the festival online. Plenty of shopping from hand crafted goodies, to vendors selling handbags, and anything you can imagine or maybe have never seen before. And the food, is well, amazing! It's a great way to visit all the communtities and enjoy the offerings. Most all the communities have yard sales too! And the Covered Bridges are AWESOME!! Now onto some more great projects, ideas, and inspiration at Laura's http://lauraleesdream.blogspot.com/ ! Happy Fall Y'All! Here's the line-up if you get lost!
Here's today's line up:

Here's my project for today!

I used the Cricut Lite Cartridge Lovely Floral to cut my little caterpillar and his flag out. Isn't he cute? I added some trim to him, stamped Thinking of You (CTMH) and added a toothpick to the flag. We can't have his flag blowing away! I used a double sided paper from JoAnn's. It's sparkly.. and added the two rosette flowers. The pink border is from Doodlebug Designs. I think it turned out really cute, now who am I thinking of to send it to.....

Well it's finally Friday! Todays theme for layouts was the Out of doors! I've been working on an album for a friend's father-in-law. She had some great photos of them at their cabin so I used Campin' Critters and To The Cabin for my layout today! Take a look-

I used Campin' Critters to make the lake scene. He had several photos of being in the Wabash River here. I cut one out and placed it in the lake die cut. That lake looks pretty inviting doesn't it?

They have a cabin on the river here, and head there in their free time. He's made the swings, and really has fixed up the area since a flood several years ago. I left the bottom border so she or he could add some personal information. I know she gave him the album last night, and he loved it! The title here is the first page of the photos at the cabin group. Cabin Fever is from To The Cabin!
I hope you have a favorite spot to get away from all the stresses and if not, picture yourself in your favorite place and relax. I'll be picturing myself in Hawaii.. care to join me?

I hope everyone is enjoying these last days of summer before the kids head back to school! Perhaps you can see yourself in the hammock once school starts! I know I could! This Lazy Days of Summer file- http://creativekuts.com/Lazy-Days-of-Summer-LDS71.htm over at Creative Kuts is just awesome! Don't you love the little doggie who seems to be enjoying the break! Since we've had such a drought in my area, our trees and flowers look more like winter.. so I colored the flowers on the tree with some pink! I used Copics to color my pieces. Missed all the color this summer in my garden. I used a DCWV paper (clouds) for the background, tore my bottom border of green to look like lawn (mostly because I can't remember where I put my fringe scissors..) Added all my paper piecing and a couple of mats. The lemonade looks delish and I think it's time I went and made a pitcher here...

off of your total purchase (No exclusions)

I used the Cricut Cartridges-Tablescapes-Spring & Summer, A Quilted Christmas, and Dr.Check-up for my projects today!  Check them out!

Let''s start with Dr. Check-up. I thought this little girl would be just perfect to welcome you to my blog today!
The stamped sentiment- Hello Ladies- is from an Inkadinkado set-Good Together. My granddaughter is always saying "Hey Lady!" to me. I don't know where she gets that from... anyway, I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder with circles to pick up the circles in her skirt. She was super easy to cut out and layer! I think she'll welcome you all to the blog hop today just fine! Doesn't she make you smile? I think this will be perfect to Thank a group, such as those in a day care setting, or maybe if you have a group of stylists, etc. or some other situation where maybe it's not feasible to do a card for each person. You know you're gonna miss someone! I used my copics to add some inking, eyes, and a little bling on her dress, along with a ribbon in her hair. The dress paper is from a Girl Scout stack.

Now let's talk about A Quilted Christmas and Tablescapes. I made a pillow box from Tablescapes. I think it'll be perfect to put a gift card in and/or maybe tuck in some of the great candy that is out for the holiday. I used a double-side cardstock to cut a 4 1/2 inch box. So easy.. fold, tape ( I used the Terrifically Tacky Tape) and tuck the ends in. I cut the Santa tag from A Quilted Christmas. He'd make a great tree or wreath ornament as well.. that's another project for another day..But here's the box:

With this quick and easy of an idea, why would you want naked gift cards? You could add the receipent's name on the hem of Santa's jacket or make ornaments and put your family's names on for a great personalized ornament. I had this HoHoHo ribbon in my stash so I was thrilled when I went to get some ribbon and found this tucked in my ribbon jar. Can't you just hear Santa now... Ho Ho Ho!
Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Here's to a wonderful crafty and creative holiday for you and yours.
