Welcome to the Vinyl Décor blog hop with our Krazy Crafting Crew. A whole new year of themes and more specific projects to inspire you with. If you have just stumbled upon the hop and would like to start at the beginning Lissa Marie is your host at www.somanycrafts.com. She has given a video tutorial on how to apply the vinyl, and is also doing a vinyl give away so you don’t want to miss out on that! If you just came from Lissa Marie, you are in the right spot, so let’s keep on hoppin’!
This is my second time giving vinyl a try and I love it. For our hop today I have chosen to do
a photo frame to celebrate our newest granddaughter.
I used a certificate frame and cut the word collage from Cricut Word Collage Cartridge. However, I couldn't find my transfer tape, or anything else that would work so I transferred it painstakingly by hand every letter.. some of them are pretty small. I used a clear quilting square to attempt to get them lined up. (LOL) The spacing isn't exactly right but it's okay. The focus is on that cute little smile in her newborn photo. BellaBaby Photography took her photos in her mother's room and they are so terrific! I used Cricut Pink Vinyl. The papers are from A Muse Studio . Added a ribbon border but put the bow on the outside of the frame, just so the glass fit into the frame a little tighter.
I have blog candy... so be a follower and leave a comment WITH a way to contact you and I'll put a surprise in the mail to you! And there's more prizes! Check out below!

This frame is adorable!!! I feel your pain in transferring all that vinyl one piece at a time - I have done that as well! I am new follower! Found this hop thanks to Z! kathybessey at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteJanet you did a beautiful job! I use contact paper instead of transfer tape. Much cheaper!
ReplyDeleteChristina ccapps35@gmail.com
Janet this is just beautiful. I haven't done a vinyl on canvas - other then using the vinyl as a stencil. I must try this, your's is adorable, so pretty to hang on a wall.

Adorable photo frame! I can't believe that you even attempted to do that by moving it letter by letter. lol I bought clear contact paper at Home Depot and really like it for transfer tape.

I just love the layout! especially the use of vinyl....gives it a little more dimension!!.
ReplyDeleteLove the layout, already a follower of yours and already liked The Scrapbook Stamp Society on FB.
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, I'm already a follower. I love the way you did this and the time and effort put into it really does make it a keepsake from grandma. You'll have to tell you granddaughter how you took the time to put each letter on just for her. She's so beautiful and this picture frame is perfect for her. jearise at g mail dot com

What a beautiful granddaughter you have, with a totally precious smile. No small wonder why you would want to highlight it in a frame. You did a very nice job with that vinyl project .. painstakingly setting those letters, with love!
