Fall Blog Hop~~~ Sat. Oct 26th

It's that time of year again! The leaves are falling, the weather is turning colder, and I can smell the pumpkin spice cappuccino brewing!  Fall is here!!  I love this time of year!!

Fall is the theme for our blog hop today! Anything goes! What makes fall fun for you and your family?? Is it the cooler days? Is it a trip to the pumpkin patch? Is it going to a Haunted House or on a hayrack ride? Do you love Halloween?

Hop along with us and see the things we like about fall and some of our fall projects.  Hope you get some fun ideas along the way.

Please leave us a little blog love along the way for a chance to win some blog candy.  Here is what you could win:

In my area, Fall is a wonderful time of the year! Leaves change colors, festivals in all the neighboring towns and all sorts of activities to enjoy the last nice weather before winter! For today's hop I made some layouts to document some activities we'll take part in. Take a look!
Festivals always have the last fruits of the season and many make homemade butters, jams and jellies. I eat my way through a lot of the activities... just sayin'

Corn fields and soybean fields are carved into mazes and I took my Girl Scout girls to a local corn maze. They had a ball trying to find their way out! All papers are Close To My Heart and all cuts are from Creative Kuts.com. Check out Creative Kuts facebook page for fun and take part in the COL program. COL-Crop on Line! These 3 files are recent ones from that program. Check out my Close to My Heart website for your scrapbooking needs too! http://janetscreativeworld.ctmh.com/ Thanks for stopping by today! Now onto Lisa's bloghttp://desileedesigningdivas.blogspot.com/  to see how she celebrates Fall!

Color Challenge: Black, Orange, Green and Purple

All the colors of Halloween!! I have some special trick or treaters every year! My great nieces and nephew come and I love to see how creative they are. Now that they are a little older, they're designing their own costumes and several of them are involved in local Haunted Houses the raise money for non-pro-fits in our area. This layout will be perfect to add their photos too, with room for journaling or even another photo perhaps if I need it. I used the Paper Smooches stamp set ( ) and die set ( ) which are so fabulous!! The dotted paper is from the store so be sure to check out what's on sale this week there! I added some eye brads which just set off my monsters pretty well!

Falling for You
I fell for those youngsters as soon as they were born, but here's a fall card, that I'm giving my hubby! He's been a tremendous support while I've been dealing with some health issues and an upcoming surgery. So I'll have to remind him how much I appreciate all he's done! The plaid paper is the reverse of the dotted paper above. I love two sided paper!!  The stamps are also part of the same stamp set. Isn't it cool that one set can be used in numerous ways!

I hope you'll be taking part in our challenges this week and will look forward to seeing your creative ideas! Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge Week 40 Cancer Awareness

Hello! Janet here today! I'm using the Paper Smooches Hope Die and Stamp set! I just love how easily these dies cut and the stamps have such great images as well as sentiments. I made a group of  3x3 note cards to tuck into care packages or for tray favors for Cancer patients. It seems all of us know of someone dealing with Cancer and I know that a care package can brighten someone's day immensely! My Girl Scout troop is always looking for ways to provide service and they help at the local Race for the Cure and other activities so I think this would be a great project for the girls to make up a batch and send to the hospital or lab to cheer up someone. Take a look at the cards:

I put the shoe and glove on Close to my Heart action springs. Who isn't smiling when something moves on the card? The glove one has Fight Like A Girl stamped several times with small hope ribbons from the die set. The Shoe has a large ribbon, banner piece with Let's Kick Cancer's butt!
The bottom right one has the banner piece, large ribbon die and I am in your corner stamped.
The upper left one has the Hope die and small ribbon die, with a Thanks and inside says For your support.

The shoe is on an action wobble so we really can kick Cancer's butt!

A little bling on the Stampin Up word punch

inside message. A patient may want to thank someone

Another action wobble so you really can punch out Cancer

A simple die background with Hope over it.

Laugh when you can, cry when you must.
everyone needs permission to cry sometimes, you think you have to be strong for your family and/or friends.. but they have no idea what you're going through... go ahead and let it out!

We all know that person who seems to remain strong through everything! The inside of these cards leave plenty of room for a note to let the patient know you're thinking of them... and sometimes when you just don't know what to say.. a simple "I love you"... here if you need me is enough! Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you'll enter the challenge over at Cuttin and Stampin.

I know you'll want to help us support Cancer Awareness and join in our challenge! I'm happy to say that I'm an Ovarian Cancer survivor since 1995 now! And I know that without the support of my family and my church family that I would have not have made it through many days! If you're going through a fight now, know that I'm praying for each of  you!

Welcome to the Krazy Crafting Crew's October blog hop: To "Die" For. Many crafters today have die cutting machines and we thought it would be fun to let them show off some of the work they do with their machines and tell us which machine they own. I can guarantee you will have a fun time looking at all their creations and if you're in the mood for a new die cutting machine, their work might sway you on which one to buy.

Our hostess for this hop is Jearise from Lorby's World and her blog is the place to start. She will have a give away going on so make sure you check out how to get signed up for that while you're visiting her.

Now let the fun begin... I have two fall layouts today! All ready for our trip to the Pumpkin Patch or fall festivals around our area the next few weeks! I love the food, the colors of the leaves, and think these are perfect. They are cutting files from Creative Kuts.com. Their files come in various formats so you can even print them out in color if you want and fussy cut them. I used paper I had on hand. They are ready for my photos and my journaling!

I used my Sihouette Cameo for this hop. I have 4 Cricuts, but the Cameo just does such detail work, and I love how you can use your own fonts, or clip art or even design your own projects. It's an easy machine to learn to use, and without the cartridges... much cheaper. Many sites have free svg type files, but I love Creative Kuts and how detailed theirs are. Hands have fingers, not rounded looking paws. www.creativekuts.com is where you can shop! On their facebook page, there is always fun, and the Crop on Line project where we all crop together. You buy the file, you get section 1, cut it, post it, then get file 2, cut it and post it, then file 3 and then post your finished project. I love how one file can look so different with the various papers, trims, and creativity everyone adds.
