Can you believe the Cuttin' and Stampin' Challenge Blog has been around for over a year now? It has gone by so fast and we have had so much fun creating and sharing projects with you.  Starting the first of the year we decided to make a few changes.  These changes include bringing you different types of projects, and to do that we needed to increase the number of members on the team.  We also decided to split the team into two groups.

Today we are introducing the GreenTeam. I had so much fun last year, and am thrilled that I was asked to return for this one! I love all the products that we showcase and hope you're checking out the store to get your hands on them! I love to craft, and in many different ways. I hope you'll stop by each of the blogs today, leave a comment, and be sure to stop by tomorrow and check out the Orange team!
Now for my project, I made a card all ready to tell someone how much they mean to me on the upcoming Valentine's Day.. take a look:

I love the background paper! All words that represent love.. and the Love Stamp, xoxox is a Paper Smooches stamp. This paper is featured over at the Cuttin and Stampin Store. I added some bling and tied it all up with a red ribbon and bow! Who will get this card?? Time will tell...

January 28 - February 3, 2014

Weekly Challenge - Color Combination
Pink, Orange and Grey

A while back Teresa Collins introduced her You are My Happy line.  The design team went crazy over it.  We decided that it could be used in SO many wonderful ways that we couldn't put just one theme to it.  The challenge for you is to use the colors in the line to create a project.

Today I used Peach and Grey to make great 2 page layout... Check it Out!

DSC04176DSC04177

I love how it could be gender neutral for a baby layout.. the little elephants are so cute! It could be used for any celebration that you want to remember! The peach and grey doesn't scream too girly, or too dark! I just loved all the items in this line! Thanks for stopping by and hope you are working on a grey and peach combo to enter the challenge!

Pinque Peacock Sunburst

pinpeacockmyblogpost
Hello! I’m guest designer today and so glad you stopped by my blog! I had been on the team over at Pinque Peacock but due to some health issues, took a break from crafting. Now I’m feeling great and thrilled to be featured today at Pinque Peacock. Jessica and her crew are so creative! I hope you enjoy learning how to create the perfect Sunburst. I struggled with getting these to look right.. no matter what I did or how I measured. But with this technique, it turns out perfect every time! Grab some coffee and check it out!
DSC04161
Gather your paper. I used CTMH, 2 different sheets, but double sided, so you know they are going to match perfectly. Cut 4 strips at 1 1/2 inches by 4 inches.
DSC04162
Cut on the diagonal at the top right corner and bottom left corner so you have two angled pieces.
DSC04163
Arrange in a pleasing manner.
DSC04164
Cut a base piece. Mine is 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches (card size) And mark the center at the top and bottom points. Put adheasive all over your base piece. Lay your first center piece on the middle you marked.
DSC04165
Cover the entire base piece. The tops won’t line up, but that’s okay! It’ll be fine! When you’ve completed all 8 pieces turn the base over.
DSC04166
Trim your papers around the base. Then surprise! Turn your base over and a perfect Sunburst to work with.
DSC04167
I put mine on a white card stock base. I put pink ribbon to cover the seam. Added a stamped sentiment ( Amuse Stamps) in Sorbet ink. (CTMH) Added some bling (CTMH).
DSC04170
What a great little card to send a friend or family member… Easy!

Creative Kuts Love Bug

Good morning! Isn’t this layout exactly what we need! Well, here it is because we’ve had the worst winter since 1978 and everyone is ready for Spring! This is a new layout over at Creative Kuts.com. Every month you can be one of the first to get a new file for only $5.00 and once your post your layout, you get the file to make a matching card and bag.. can’t beat that deal! Here’s a secret- I used CTMH Christmas paper. This was last year’s paper but it doesn’t look scream Christmas does it? I love all their two sided  Designer paper.. and with a white core, you can distress it or try other techniques. Okay, yes I sell CTMH but let’s focus on the file.. Here it is!

Cuttin And Stampin Challenge

cuttinstampinpostlogo
Hello! We’ve had the worst winter weather since 1978, and well, frankly, I’m tired of it.. But I do love this Winter Wonderland paper and the snowflake stamps Cuttin and Stampin are featuring this week!
In my package of goodies I received this cute banner embellishment, and I put it on the top of the card. I cut other  banner pieces and popped them out, with a button from this collection. The sentiment from the stamp set, “you are one of a kind” is just perfect to remind one of the middle school girls I work with that it’s ok to be different! I love the cool blues, and the pop of tan!
DSC04152
This sled paper is adorable!! I matted it on a beige, then on the white card base. I added the white ribbon, and popped the Season’s Greetings, layering it in the same manner on front of the card. Now the holidays may be over, so 1. I’m ahead for next year, or 2. If we get more snow, all the kids will have the sleds out again and I can remind someone that it’s good to have some fun with the family out at the park!
DSC04153
I love, love, love this snowflake paper! I layered it on my card base, then I had this little deer in my package, and I think it looks like it’s stopped in the snowy woods to see what that noise was! Here in my area, deer season is a big thing, and we see deer a lot.. especially on the roads…Sad smile I added the sentiment so I can use this card for one of my sons when they get that deer or for my nephew’s birthday who is in the middle of winter! Or again, the middle school girls.. but none the less it’s versatile and doesn’t scream one gender!

Ready for Spring

DSC04148
This Polar Vortex has me in a cold, frozen state! My stamp club is coming tomorrow night, and while the roads are still bad.. we all have cabin fever and need to chat! So I decided to make some cute little spring flowers with a sweet treat inside! Several of my club have connections to schools, scout troops, or need favors at meetings so I thought these would be perfect for the upcoming Valentine’s Day!
I cut the flower from Accent Essentials on page 55 at 3.50. I got 9 flowers from a 12 x 12 sheet. This was paper from a CTMH special kit last year, but I love the paper.. and since it had green on one side, and the pretty print on the other.. I’m making these for the two scout troops I’m involved with. I used two layers, and put some Styrofoam in a little decorated box I had, and for a little of time, a cute centerpiece!!  I curled up the edges on the top layer, and down on the bottom. They could be inked, and for adults, I’d probably do that, but for kids, they’re just going to tear into that Tootsie Roll pop. Who are we kidding.. I’ll probably do that too! Stay warm if you’ve been part of this nasty winter weather!! Thanks for stopping by!

Krazy Krafting Crew

Here we are in a New Year and all new projects for the hop.  Today Robin Lane will be hosting from Create a Latte. With the New Year,  "Anything Goes" what a great way to start!  Do you like paper crafts, making cookies, crocheting or making pillows?  Really anything goes for more fun and inspiration from us ladies who love to bake and do other things then paper crafts! Robin has some great blog candy, so be sure to start there and follow the directions for your chance to win!

Today I have prepared this for you. I love to papercraft, but do other crafts as well.. My resolution(s) is/are to 1. try new techniques and 2. use up all the supplies I've bought and never done anything with. C'mon, don't judge! You know you have those unfinished projects around the house. For today I'm sharing a project that Pinterest inspired. I love to see those photos of epic fails... and I've had a few.. anyway, this one turned out okay! I didn't feel comfortable hanging it, but it did make for a cute centerpiece on my holiday table. Then my granddaughter who loves, loves, loves Candy canes took it apart and plans on eating them up! I left the paper wrapping on them and just hot glued at the places where the canes touched, so I'm sure they'll be fine for that! Here's my photo!

I purchased a package of glittery snowflakes at the Dollar Tree and glued that onto the center, then added a poinsettia flower with a bow. I put a chipboard circle behind it for stability. It did look festive. Now here's a bit of trivia. This isn't what I had planned to put on my blog today. A few years ago, I took the Terra Cotta saucers and painted the inside to look like a winter scene with a snowman in it! (2005) I put hard candies on them and wrapped them for gifts that year for volunteers, little thank you gifts. My granddaughter asked if she could have one for her other grandmother. I said sure and we fixed one up for her. This past few months her husband has gone to a nursing home, and she's moved in with my (ex) son-in-law. They've cleaned out her house and the saucer turned up. My granddaughter asked if she could have it. Her dad said sure, and she wrapped it up with a kitchen towel/crochet top on it to hang in my kitchen and was so proud she had a gift to give me! Imagine my surprise when I opened it! I hadn't saved one for myself, gave them all away so I was glad to get it. I meant to photograph it for my blog, but got all the holiday décor put up and away and slap me upside the head, it was put up. I didn't dare ask my husband to get those totes back out... Maybe next year when I unpack those items, I 'll put it on my blog. Hope you had a wonderful holiday season!! Here's to a happy New Year! Please come back to my blog soon!
This team has a hop the first Sunday of the month, and I take part in other groups, and design teams. This month, I'm offering a CTMH stamp set (17.95 value). How to win?
