Thanks for participating in this weeks challenge. Winners will be announced on March 1, 2013.

As a DT member, I made two cards using this challenge's colors! Check them out, and then I'll tell you all about them!

The colors were purple, yellow and green. Mardi Gras!! The rich colors of the festival! Here in the midwest, Mardi Gras is regulated to parties at our local drinking establishments... but I love to watch the parade and see all the great wrought iron work, colors, costumes, and masks that Mardi Gras brings out. On the top card, I embossed each pieces to resemble the textures of costumes, or the rich fabrics. Added some bling (what would Mardi Gras be without bling?) to the side, and on that green piece, the embossing resembles iron gates that you might see at a secret garden behind. I added Thinking of You and put a metal embellishment on that to make that pop.

On the bottom card, the birdcage could be hanging from one of those porches on the parade route. Some bling on hanger and a bow.. I think the bird escaped so he could take part in the fun and games of Mardi Gras. Added a Just A Note of Thanks (perhaps for beads... LOL) All products are from Amuse. Tammy Smith is a consultant and if you need any products or want to see the upcoming new releases, check out her store!
