Pinque Peacock Sunburst

pinpeacockmyblogpost
Hello! I’m guest designer today and so glad you stopped by my blog! I had been on the team over at Pinque Peacock but due to some health issues, took a break from crafting. Now I’m feeling great and thrilled to be featured today at Pinque Peacock. Jessica and her crew are so creative! I hope you enjoy learning how to create the perfect Sunburst. I struggled with getting these to look right.. no matter what I did or how I measured. But with this technique, it turns out perfect every time! Grab some coffee and check it out!

Gather your paper. I used CTMH, 2 different sheets, but double sided, so you know they are going to match perfectly. Cut 4 strips at 1 1/2 inches by 4 inches.
DSC04162
Cut on the diagonal at the top right corner and bottom left corner so you have two angled pieces.

Arrange in a pleasing manner.

Cut a base piece. Mine is 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches (card size) And mark the center at the top and bottom points. Put adheasive all over your base piece. Lay your first center piece on the middle you marked.

Cover the entire base piece. The tops won’t line up, but that’s okay! It’ll be fine! When you’ve completed all 8 pieces turn the base over.

Trim your papers around the base. Then surprise! Turn your base over and a perfect Sunburst to work with.

I put mine on a white card stock base. I put pink ribbon to cover the seam. Added a stamped sentiment ( Amuse Stamps) in Sorbet ink. (CTMH) Added some bling (CTMH).

What a great little card to send a friend or family member… Easy!
