Now for my project...

Today's project is a Nod to that wonderful and noisy holiday July 4th. I have a friend who has a birthday that day, but I haven't seen her yet, as she's on vacation and in Las Vegas! I sure hope she's lucky but I'll buy her lunch one day when she returns and give her this. I used red cardstock for the card base, a red print from the Super Hero collection at CTMH. I stamped the sentiment from a CTMH set and layered it, rounding the corners on the bottom to look like a banner you might see on a porch, bandstand, or political rally. Added a border from K and Company and some stars from the .97 collection at Wal-Mart. I think it reflects this month and if I had put another sentiment on it, could easily be for a Veteran or Military person. I hope your 4th was safe and an enjoyable.
I am leaving my project from yesterday here in case you're just dropping by today. Be sure to follow the rules for all the blog candy!

For my summertime layout, I made flowers. With all this heat and drought conditions, my flower beds and garden are looking like an ad for Worst Gardener in the Country. But this page brightened my day and when I add a photo of my granddaughter it'll be just perfect with her big smile.

I used my Cameo to cut the title: The perfect summer day and the flowers. The background page is from a stack and has pink and yellow flowers on it. The flowers are from the Silhouette store and the pink one is cut and easy to pull up the petals and give it a real 3-D look. The yellow cuts in 5 layers and again, easy to stack add a brad to the center but I curled the petals, so while the photo doesn't show it, they are both 3-D. I inked the petals. Added a couple of borders, two mats with some ribbon to slip my photos into. How will my granddaughter and I have the perfect summer day? Well, we probably have different ideas but I know she'll have plenty that she'll want to do so having two photos won't be a problem! Maybe I'll give her a choice, then I'll make the choice and put photos from each of our choices. With her, it's a perfect day no matter what we do! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

In addition to this we have two sponsors this month
